Camping at the Expo Center

"Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center" has built a new RV section on the back side of the facility(South of Lot"A"),
they offer full hookup for $32.00 a night or Dry camp for $22.00 a night payable to the Expo Center.
ACCO will work with the Expo Center to allow Dry Camping in the grass of Parking lot "C" & "D" where the events will be held.

Volunteers are needed for the "2008" season.
One free fun run will be awarded to a person that takes on a setup or teardown task.
A task will be assigned to a volunteer the month before the event.
The Setup & Teardown Task list will be posted before the first club meeting in Feb. 2008.



2008 PAX Index Released

The Racers Theoretical Performance index by, Rick Ruth, has been published.
The index is derived from the study of results from over 200 nationwide autocross events. The index has been used for over 14 years and is constantly adjusted as cars and classes evolve.

Soundsfast Car Audio has a great new product

Hello Everybody,
While I was attending SEMA I came across something you guys might be interested in. Some of my buddies and I have been struggling to come up with
a cost effective helmet camera system for snow mobiling. Everything we have tried hasn’t been durable enough or too expensive.
I visited with a manufacture while at SEMA that has an answer for us. They have come up with a digital video camera that holds
a 2G SD that will record 1 hour of video and audio. The camera can also be set up to take digital still pictures on a continuous timer.
So in other words set it for stills and it will continue to take a picture every couple of seconds as you drive along.
The camera can be mounted anywhere and comes with 5 different mounting systems. The camera is incased in a water proof case and is completely wireless.
I’m thinking about becoming a dealer for the product and I wanted to see if there was any interest from any of the autocross club or motorsports junkies you might know.
The camera retails for $179.99 and I am offering it to the club and anybody else interested for $150.00.
This price is only good for this first order. I have to buy a certain quantity to become a dealer
and I am not going to do it unless I have a few of them sold before placing the order.
