Preliminary agenda for ACCO Meeting on Feb. 6, 2008.
Long-term goals for 2008: Promote safe driving events, educate the community, increase membership, and maintain profitability.
Old Business:
- New accountant found to file 2007 taxes.
- Volunteer and Officer registration for Events at monthly meetings or online. This will ensure that we are fully staffed to conduct an event and help track worker accountability.
- Event schedule now split into Morning and Afternoon registrations to allow late arrivals to race for points. Driver and Worker coordination will be critical in order to transition smoothly.
New Business:
- Fee Increases: Membership = $25/year. Events = $25/day for members, $30/day for non-members, and $15/day for students. This is due to increased facility rental fees and insurance costs.
- New season sponsor RaceHouse Design, a garage outfitting company, Hutch's Bicycle\ Rack & Roll, located in Bend, has signed on to support ACCO along with our returning sponsor SoundsFast Car Stereo & Performance and Custom Exhaust Specialty.
- Increase membership and promote participation in ACCO.
- Allow Member-sponsored fun runs to entice newcomers and offer more free fun runs as an incentive for volunteer workers.
- Winter Driving Safety course to be held at Mt. Bachelor in late February. Will be coordinated with Driver's Ed. classes, ODOT/Team Safety, and AAA.
- More Drift Events to be held in the hopes that they will draw more drivers and help grow the club. SCCA has sanctioned drift events and ACCO will follow their rule set.
- Car show and shine to be held in conjunction with an ACCO event. Event to be organized with local car clubs, tentative date: Sat. June 21.
- Dad/Son Track Day Event to be held at Jackson Co. Sports Park in Medford, OR. on August 9-10. Based on interest, track time would be offered for an invitational event.
- Proposed Instructional Track Day at Portland Int'l Raceway, TBA based on interest.
